The SME Diversification and Innovation Grant Scheme[1] offers the possibility of a grant of up to €200,000 to help you diversify or innovate your products or services, where the grant would be equal to 50% of your eligible expenditure.

The scheme is open for SMEs and provides funding for investment which would result in:

• ​the diversification of your firm’s output/activity into new products or services (not previously supplied by your firm);
• a fundamental change in the overall production process of your existing establishment;
• the adoption by your firm of solutions to significantly improve your product or service;
• the acquisition and integration into the business operation of solutions that are new or significantly advanced than those currently in use by the Undertaking.

EU funds would cover in part costs such as the leasing/rental of privately owned operational premises, construction and/or up-grading costs, the purchasing of new equipment, machinery and/or plant, the procurement of patents and licenses as well as wage costs related to the wage of a Change Manager employed specifically through the project to drive the necessary change within the enterprise through the diversification or a fundamental change initiative.
